Do you think part of the reason VR hasn’t taken off is the bulky headsets? I bought PSVR, after 20 mins you’re uncomfortable and hot from wearing the headset. It’s not nice to sit for long periods and play games, until this improves VR will struggle to find a broad audience, I think

There were a couple of driving games I enjoyed. But the headset was so uncomfortable I was done after about 30 minutes. I can’t imagine wearing it for long periods.

Similar vibes across a lot of consumer tech. Only a fraction of publications remain from when I started 20 years ago. Most websites have gone. The rise of the influencer deeply troubles me. So many tell EVERYTHING IS AWESOME and then immediately move on to the next thing. PRs must love it.

great article, loved the section on the “festering suspicion of human creativity.” It’s so frustrating seeing those in charge of business chasing after “AI Solutions” as if human writing were a problem to solve and not a medium to explore and express.
