We can close the book on this dude being the super elite he was portrayed to be. This is yet another example of draft process bias continuing long after a player has shown otherwise. He has some very high level skills, and he will likely have some good seasons, but he’s not The Guy.

It wasn’t just Herbert. Both teams played awful on a big stage. The offensive line play was pathetic on both sides. Neither team could pick up a defensive twist. Zone blitzes confused both Q’s. Terrible preparation in every aspect by both teams.

No both teams did not play awful. The Texans defense was elite: they sacked Herbert four times, created four INTs and held Chargers to less than 100 yards rushing. Stroud had a great second half, not sure what game you were watching.

That was not an elite defense. That was an inept offense. The Charges offense was also inept. Anyone that thinks that either team played well is a fanatic that is blinded by their fandom. I was not rooting for either team and can be objective. In short that was a terrible playoff game.

The Texans defense finished the regular season ranked 5th in total defense. A elite defense like that makes the Chargers look bad.

If you don’t think that was elite defense then I don’t know how to help you. The Texans have been a good defensive team all season.
The Texans HC is the former Niners DC and is known for defense. Harbaugh is known for controlling the LOS and the Texans beat them at their own game.

Because someone is known for defense doesn’t mean that the team played well in a certain game. I’m known for O Line, that doesn’t mean my O line played great all the time. That was a terribly played playoff game. You are blinded by your fandom.

The oline isn’t really all that great. The tackles are fine though they were getting worked last night but the interior has been terrible all year. Can’t pickup a stunt to save their lives
