The US team got distracted by outside noise. Outside of the OT opportunities, Canada was the better team overall because Cooper kept them locked in on the game and away from the external nonsense.
Even before the puck dropped on Thursday, the Americans and Canadians acknowledged the 4 Nations Face-Off had touched the sport in a way few events have.
