The NBA’s lottery system is horribly broken! The worst teams have won the #1 pick 3x since ‘85, & 0x since being modified in ‘19.
There is no reason a team that finished 4 gms under .500 should have earned the #1 pick over Utah D.C., Charlotte & New Orleans- all finishing .256 and worse.
I’ve often wondered when teams get to the 2nd half of the 2nd round of the draft, so the final 10-15 players drafted, why even trade those picks, what value is there in someone drafted so low. And it’s those picks that get passed around more than breadsticks at Olive Garden.
It’s a crappy setup the way they have a player put on the hat of a team everyone knows he’s not playing for because the pick has already been traded.
Move up the league year or push the draft back or both but just figure it out already… it just gets so damn confusing and makes the #NBA look foolish

around roster spots and cap money boring stuff really
So teams are drafting players they don't want, but other teams do, to get more for the pick?
