puberty blockers would have been what I wanted with every fiber of my being -- i saw puberty on the horizon and all i wanted was to NOT. Just to skip it forever. Part of me kinda fantasizes about that still, at 50.

It's fairly obvious really when you think about it. You just can't imagine the trauma for a trans child near to puberty knowing that right now their body is fairly gender neutral but that that will all change once puberty starts, that for a natal female she'll develop female breasts, sure we can..

.. cut them off, but that will leave horribly visible scars that will almost certainly tell anyone that they had surgery to remove their breasts, frankly almost as bad as having breasts in the first place for a trans man. Far better that they simply don't develop in the first place!
