These people are elected by the people to do the people's work. Anyone who read the bill, even after Chip Roy's snow job, could see it wasn't fraud prevention, but disenfranchisement. Why do this at all when it's the State's job to run fair & free elections? Because they want to stop us from voting.

I doubt this passes, but I REALLY think this will hurt more uneducated Republican voters more than anything. Is there any analysis about how this could go if implemented? It shouldn't become law on principle, but I'm curious if this could be self inflicted harm

I've practically never supported a primary challenge to a Democrat holding a red-leaning district before, but this is some enabling act BS. No Democrat should be legitimizing this.

This doesn't even need to be about a left vs. center primary. We need Democrats willing to fight against tyranny

Yes, unless they try to overrule the parliamentarian and stick it in the reconciliation bill or just gut the filibuster outright. That's not something I'm comfortable ruling out when they've clearly been acting as if they think they will never face fair elections again
