My partner works for a UK company that’s reached market saturation over here and is branching in to the US and has a New York office.

The UK employees used to want 3+ month trips to lead/develop the US team. It was an interesting experience.

Now nobody is willing to go. Why risk it?

You should know you’re still welcome in the EU, we only dislike the US government. If you criticize the US government as foreigner, they can sent you back or detain you. Border control is also checking social media accounts of visitors. That’s why I also won’t visit the US in the near future…

My late husband was Japanese. I wrote an email to my brother-in-law and nephews in Japan, describing our current situation and warning them not to plan a trip to the United States, for any reason, until further notice. I don’t feel safe so why should a visitor feel safe?

So, don't go in the USA, don't even transit by that country (while going to Canada or Mexico by exemple), it's dangerous.
