LOL! The Nazis were incredibly incompetent when it came to diplomacy and war. Just look at their Winter invasion of the USSR. If the Allied nations lost, they would have found different ways to implode. The only reason fascism survived so many years was the active support from the corporate class.
If NATO had not formed there would have been a Scandinavian defense alliance. That was Denmark's first choice but Norway wanted to go with US in NATO and then Denmark followed
I think Lennon would of became more eccentric, reclusive and less influential
At the time of his shooting it was already apparent that a lot of people found him to be both cynical and a hypocrite
He preached a good game but rarely practiced it
Then he wouldn't be deified. This cover would maybe ask if someone more important like MLK jr or a Kennedy brother lived, and people might move on to other currently active bands, saving rock-n-roll.
I always like to think that Lennon would have been the first guy releasing ideas and music in to the internet, sitting at home on his laptop, connecting with people and organisations, nurturing new talent, enjoying his life.
I remember going to a Beatles concert in Cardiff in the 60's. More recently, I was driving and "Imagine" came on the car radio. I literally had tears in my eyes
We know the answer to the question concerning Student Loans… “What IF ungrateful voters who foolishly thought they were punishing Biden or Harris, stayed home and didn’t vote. Student Loans Edition:
Honestly? I think he'd be one of those "they're all the same" types and not vote for anybody, and would just mock people online for it. John Lennon would have loved Twitter.
so many comments here are willing to burn Lennon at the stake, “like what the fuck have you done?”
was he flawed? yes, in so many ways, but he continually grew, challenged others, himself, and atoned for his mistakes, we will never know him like his family, maybe save judgement for your own deeds
You don't NEED to wonder what it would be like if the Allies lost WW2. Just look at Israel, today. It's as if the US allied with Germany and Japan, back in 1941.
Seen this magazine on the shelf but never looked further. Do they actually go into how likely their proposed counterfactual is? Talking about 'what if the allies lost WW2' without adding how implausible that would be isn't history, it's daydreaming.
There is a sidenote in Robert Harris‘ novel Fatherland (in which the Nazis won the war) about the Beatles playing in Hamburg, and it’s pretty much the only sentence in the whole book that isn’t depressing.

Rock on John, Rock on
You pick 4 random guys in 50s Liverpool. Odds are one of them will be a bit of a dick.
Most go quietly through life, or grow up and learn something about life.
Turn those 4 into Beatles and I’m amazed any of them were remotely well adjusted.
But yeah, I’ve read the stories.
He has one or two Lennon anecdotes. But apart from that it’s an amazing project.

His point of divergence is that there's just better flying weather during the evacuation of Dunkirk, leading to 200k more British POWs.
