I am old enough that in 1972, I was in high school. They put a TV in the lunchroom and everyone watched the Canada-Russia game. The school had 1200 students and just about all of us were in that cafeteria that day yelling and screaming when we won. - ThreadSky

Same. The TV was in the auditorium. I didn't know anything about hockey but I cheered and screamed anyway. Good times.

Me too. It was an exciting moment for Canada. I was in Grade 12 and came into Biokogy class late, but the teacher never said anything.

I was 1 day old for the kick off game in the 1972 Summit. I just asked my Dad what he was doing. He worked in a big General Electric Plant and he said all the lines just shut down and everyone stood and watched in the staff room.
