We handed a letter of solidarity to Deputy High Commissioner John Pearson & tied 17 white ribbons onto the gate of the High Commission, 1 for each of the protesters & 1 for Xavier Gonzalez-Trimmer who took his own life after spending 3 wks in jail & facing six criminal charges for peaceful protest.

🔥 It isn’t the actions of these protesters that engendered such a harsh response but their message. We're extremely concerned that the UKs harsh treatment of protesters will make its way to NZ, esp in light of the Crimes (Countering Foreign Interference) Amendment Bill currently before Parliament

⚖️ Next month the Aerial 7 are set to stand trial for peaceful protests they undertook in 2022, in which they held up traffic by dangling over traffic tunnels and climbing motorway gantries to demand govt action on #climatechange.
