I think the one used for the final art is still the best, followed by the top right sketch. But I'm biased, because the art for Mr. Foxglove is my all-time favorite MtG art 🦊

All absolutely beautiful!! Funny I never noticed that he's flipping the coin over to the Bat-merchant. That is best transported in the top down one, IMHO. In the final painting that connection is lost a little due to the composition. Masterful work either way!😍

IMO, the one that was chosen works the best for character-focused art. His pose is dynamic, exaggerated, and takes up most of the canvas leaving room for lots of personal detail. It makes for an expressive piece that shouts "charismatic trickster rogue".
The art advertises what the card does well.

The first is really good (the final art is one of my favorite) but I love the second sketch with the high-angle shot: it makes the scene very dynamic and the characters' expressions stand out.

On the other hand, I think the background wouldn't have been as good as the one in the final art.

Personal Preference is birds eye pic, but from what the card does, I think the perfect sketch won out 😁
