Has anything I've posted in the last few days made you interested in Quest or is it still very much "cool but don't really care"

Triangle Strategy is real

I used to have a Quest 1 until about 2-3 months ago, I could really just never get into VR honestly. There were some fun games, but nothing that REALLY got me invested. Maybe one day I'll pick VR up again, but for now? I'm good tbh.
But I think the tech is insanely cool and it's a little surprising it's still relatively niche
The closest I have come was seeing superhot in vr for the first time.
But I'd absolutely love playing games in this way, this looks so awesome!
I don't engage with the meta ecosystem very much though, almost entirely use my quest 3 for wireless PCVR but been seeing a lot of neat things for sure that makes me wanna check them out.
I think VR is just not really for me lol
It's not you, it's Mark.
Also dropping the Pixel Ripped series of games as a VR experience you need to try. Pixel Ripped 1995 is one of my "selling people on VR" games.
I was curious to see how Triangle Strategy would work though, so thanks!
I'm mainly interested in remote play for different things and productivity related stuff with my computer if that helps.
The high price with fractured libraries and constantly evolving tech is a bit off putting.
Batman on the Facebook one. Alyx exclusive on pc. Horizon exclusive to ps5.
Quest 2 seemingly obsolete. Kind of rough
(Also double whammy of having glasses and VR goggles don’t account for that)
VR's a neat idea in theory but I don't think anything they do could make me actually care about it. Plus I don't have a computer that could run it. Or a PS5.
But I do enjoy living virtually vicariously through you lol
It still hasn't arrived yet, so time will tell if I'll actually end up liking it or not.
but I still have an old oculus rift that I haven't used in years
Just a bit expensive for how often I think I would find myself using it. It looks like something I would have a bit of fun with for a while before the magic wore off, kind of like the 3D on the 3DS
Maybe I won’t buy it in near future, but I am certainly curious and maybe will try to get it next year (slight price cut would help)
also for my glasses buddies, there are replacement lenses for VR headsets that allow you to use them without glasses!
to me VR is still either "fancy tech demos" (eg Beat Saber) or "that game you like, now in VR!" (eg RE4) HL:A is still the only genuinely impressive, original VR game imo.
I would only buy a VR headset if I was very bored and so rich that money ceased to have meaning
Played an hour of VR games at a friends house years back and I've had my fill for this lifetime.
So yeah, "cool but don't really care".
There’s also the matter of feeling like waiting until this tech improves to the point of maturity like smartphones, so I would rarely have to feel fomo about not having the latest version every year.
So I liked the video of the AR mini golf course in your garden. That's actually such a cool use for it having external cameras!
VR gaming seems so promising, full of potential and something that I hope will stick around, evolve and become more and more affordable.
But I reeeeeeally dislike Meta and I don't care about them having a center stage in gaming in this manner.
You don't need a Facebook account but still not a company anyone's exactly jumping to support
BUT I don't want to purchase or be involved with anything Meta. So it's a huge bummer that they're the only company who seem to actually care about VR at the moment.
That said, definitely try them first!
I’d use it if offered, and probably enjoy it, but see no reason I’d want to buy one.
The RE4-clip actually caused me a lot of stress just by watching, so action-based VR is not for me.
But I legit think the picture anywhere-feature is VERY neat
«Triangle Strategy for the Quest 3» immediately got the goblins in my brain going about how I need to fork out for another big hardware upgrade to tech I barely use. So thanks for that :p
