It's crazy how Kropotkin ended up being like a century ahead of his time in his emphasis on cooperation in evolution even though he was basically saying that people were ignoring like half of Darwin's theory in order to push a political agenda.

"Mutual Aid" is great about this, it starts off with animals excluding humans and spends the rest of the book showing how humans are just as dependent on Mutual Aid as any Animals. It's a bit bland and a little dense but worth the reading because of how well he shows the concepts universality.
