It's insane to me that people act like Disney ruined Star Wars, when the fan reaction (at the time) to Lucas's prequel trilogy was overly negative.

The thing I hate most about those types of star wars "fans" is that they make me defend a soulless megacorporation.

and for the record, I think Disney Star Wars is a mixed bag: some good, and some bad. But none of it has *ruined* Star Wars.

I really don't understand the thinking that a new movie or series in a fictional universe can ruin an older one, or the universe altogether.
