Some of the most well-preserved fossil skeletons of human relatives are children. In the case of Dederiyeh Cave, Syria, archaeologists found two young Neanderthal children. Most of the skeleton of Dederiyeh 1 was recovered, estimated at more than 50,000 years ago.
