Sweden has started to distribute copies of a booklet advising its citizens how to prepare for war, as Nordic countries teach people how to brace for a potential Russian attack.

It's mostly very basic info. What different kind of alarms sound like (air-raid, readyness, important message, danger is past), lists of stuff to always keep ready in your home, your duties as a citizen in the event of war, how to spot disinformation, how to find your closest bomb-shelter etc.
Very basic instructions. It boils down to "Do the same thing you wouldn've done if there is an air-raid." They don't just say straight out that it is unlikely to be enough. Although they do note that after a couple of days the radiation-danger is low enough that you can (probably) exit the shelters.
When I was a child (late gen x) this info was available in the phone book. Then threat decreased, phone catalogs became obsolete. This pamphlet (om krisen eller kriget kommer if crisis or war happens) is really needed. Then we hope not to wake up to that.
It's not hysterical, it's it's preparation for the worst case scenario. However unlikely, it's a preferably alternative compared to not beeing prepared.
w.Trump in power is it likely he'll come help Sweden if Putin comes across any border like he's done in Ukraine? into Finland for instance... is that hysteria? peo in Europe don't think so.
Putin wanted to negotiate. Oligarchs did not. Terms were clear. No militarization of Ukraine. No NATO Membership. You do not know history wrt Russia and Finland and Ukraine. Ignorance is an emotional crutch.
Maybe instead of indulging in the possibility of catastrophic events we as europeans should strive for one whole army and a proper defense: just a thought 🤷🏻♂️
Mmmmm This is a worrying development, but it's good that Sweden is taking proactive steps to prepare its citizens for any potential threats. Let's hope it doesn't come to that, but it's always better to be safe than sorry.
Yer I know I go quite a bit, actually Helsinki too and they are closer to the cusp as you can actually see St Peterburg from certain spots. They have been preparing for war for a number of years, bunkers every half a mile or so!
When the Nordics make a move, we better believe them.
Protection of their countrymen is their upmost priority.
These are healthy countries, socially and financially.
