Italy has put the lives of its citizens at risk by not addressing illegal waste dumping by the mafia in the Campania region, the European Court of Human Rights ruled today.

This should serve as a warning to governments in other European countries about how a country can degenerate if organised crime is ignored for too long, and I notice that governments abroad think that it does not concern them and does not affect their societies.
Italy cannot plan anything. We have drought, we have floods, polluted rivers and seas, garbage collection worth of a 3d world country because the majority of our politicians are overpaid incompetents and because the "policy" so far has been that of addressing emergency.
This is a glaring example of how unchecked corruption and organized crime can harm entire communities. Governments must take action to protect their citizens and hold those responsible accountable. It's time for leaders to step up and prioritize public health and safety over criminal interests.
