It is strategically essential that the EU and U.K. make steps to wean themselves off of reliance upon the US wherever practical and possible in the short term - that still leaves a lot of spend that will have to go to the US in the short term

At a time when the EU needs strength more than ever, proposing to further undermine our domestic military production is unacceptable. We shouldn't spend one euro on new American weapons unless the majority of the production is relocated to Europe with technology transfers.

It's sad, but actually France is the only country which learned the right lessons post WW2 on military production & defense. Pouring money into coffers of our biggest geopolitical enemy (post J20/2025) is moronic. Stop funding US MIC immediately, canceling contracts would crush MAGA states.
