I live in Poland. The country is divided. The cities and educated voted for Rafal. The uneducated, church freaks, small town voted right wing. As usual. The president doesn’t have a lot of power though. Mostly veto power.
I live in Australia and it is the same here. Travel even 40km from a Metropolitan area and you'll be hit by a wall of bigotry and intolerance. Apparently, it's the same everywhere.
Your response is strikingly lackimg in empathy (which feeds fascism) There is a lot of voter manipulation and fraud in elections across the world. This was surely planned by oligarchs due to Poland's strategic location.
He is right though, people voted here this way because they couldn't be convinced otherwise 😅 they prefer to keep believing easy lies than face complicated reality. I'd call this dumb too.
What worries me the most is that lots of young Poles voted for the right wing.
Ridiculous. There were 2 (main) candidates and the vote was nearly 50/50. If the vote had gone 15/85, I would have understood. People hate this strategy, look at the anger at Macron for doing the same
