The EU must step up its efforts to lead the climate change fight as the US retreats, the head of this year's global climate summit in Brazil told POLITICO.

#Billionaires flying #Private #Planes from #Climate #Sumit to #Climat #Sumit all over the #World... All agreeing that us #Peasants need to stop #Poluting... While they keep avoiding any safety measure possible to save a #Dollar...
China has the technology and resources to be the actual leader and even some very good and ambitious policy goals. But I guess no one dares calling on them.
Yep, my point is, the EU took the lead on climate issues. Sure it can never be enough but the rest of the world shouldn’t always rely on our leadership especially given there are geopolitical priorities which distract us right now. We need shared coalition not a one continent show.
I agree with you, the EU has the right idea and they need to do even more. At least there's a consensus on what needs to be done and all the EU countries agree in principle.
American climate policy doesn’t need China as an excuse. The lack of education and the way society is shaped around highly unsustainable ways of life has hindered the US to build a broad societal consensus around climate policy. People who care are largely in academic elites and progressive cities.

What the fuck does it matter if #Norway or #Sweden "leads the effort" when their combined population makes up a semi large village in #China???
#Hypocrisy is rife in the so-called #Green #Policy #Making is it not??
#Policy is made by #MONEY not #Politicians!
