I don’t fucking understand it. The mother of my best friend was committed to a mental institution for trying to leave an abusive husband. She was heavily medicated for years until she finally managed to take her own life. This was in the late 1970s in the Midwest. The hopelessness is too much.
Women were strong
and being respected
by fellow workers in
the 1970s.
What happened to
the equality we all wanted ?
Why are they paid
less for the same work ?
Why did we go backwards ?
In 2025 things should be better for
all.
Not worse.
Well, 70’s there was no respect for women. Women were harassed and abused for “taking men’s jobs”. It took a long and exhausting fight to get to where we were in 2020. Women will always be stronger than a man. It’s just that some of us use our powers for evil, ironically.
