All 13 Canadian premiers visited Washington this week. They met with some Trump officials – but could not get a meeting with the president himself. You can read more about this visit in this week’s edition of The Buzz: https://t.co/53QeuuFDlP

I have to question the value, both tactically and strategically, of showing up in DC without having arranged a meeting with any significant players in the US administration prior to their visit. A campaign media ploy for Mr. Ford (?) at the expense of the provinces w/premiers returning empty handed.
Visit did not project strength which is what we need right now.
There are more important things the premiers could be doing: this was likely driven by Ford with ulterior motives but I certainly hope it was the last.
Let Dominic LeBlanc do his job, he is representing us well.
We are not beggars!
I envision the premiers shuffling around the WH looking eager and hopeful, desperate to speak with anyone consequential. Not a look of strength, which is how Cdns want this handled. Let’s leave this to the Feds to deal with. Lib leader candidates shouldn’t be talking to US press either. (Freeland)
