Yes. I checked several social media sites - 'Good on you, Carney' was bursting on them for how he handled Rosie's smear and the Edmonton nonsense. Talking heads on TV are thinking they are something special and should get away with shitty behaviour. It's not 'the hard questions', they weren't.

The great danger of Poilievre imitating trump, constantly attacking the medias and calling them "biased", is media people walking a performative extra-mile for him to look fair. Aka "bothsidesism". Aka CNN.

Good show as always. While I understand the rush to defend one’s own and one’s metier (fantastic examples by Chantal), the journalistic commentary has been a bit tone deaf on the Barton vs. Carney episode. I suggest some “door knocking”. Barton opined over the line and was justly chastised.

Yes. I was surprised how 'in the bubble' their viewpoint was. There certainly is lots of public support for how carefully but non-nonsense way that Carney handled both Barton calling him a liar and the Edmonton journalist asking a ridiculous question. Patient but firm. We want that.

It worries me that jouro's may actually believe a) they are unbiased or b) they are and can ask/act as jerkily as they want. Carney didn't do the applauded Chretien 'grab the sob by the throat' move and was about as mild as you can be and still say "hey, none of that."
