My little ancient roomba maps nofing and is not hooked up to Bluetooth or WiFi. And I treat him like a king. Get him fresh batteries and brushes to keep him going. Also I pick up the big chunks for Snorty.

I have one of the original ones. It works amazing. I did get a new top tier one and it last 1 year and didn’t like to do its job. Now I just walk my OG one to different areas and the day it’s done I’ll be beyond sad since won’t get a new one.

I inherited Snorty. Family got the new hotness as far as roombas. He would ping around the room like a pinball, doing his best, then he’d get lost under the beds. I’d find him there dead ‘n rescue him, putting him back on his charger to rest. I got him a battery. He makes it there on his own now.

I think I’m going to start moving toward anti-tech as much as possible. Removing Alexa’s in my home. Avoiding places with self-checkout. Using local businesses that employ actual humans vs corporate chains that displace them.
