If you got a rough idea how far it is from your internet router to each of places you play, and if it's just one device you'd both connect to or if like in your space you'd wanna connect PC and console then that should be enough info to go off
no probs, if you both have a main thing then you can both run a cable each around the house im sure, 20 metre cable each will get you a long way (or 10 metre if thats enough)
