Two years ago I made a guide on these art thieving sc/ams, where people steal people's work and pass it as their own in order to sell c0mm/issions
I have now updated said guide, as this has evolved quite a lot. It is going to be a long thread. Do RT for visibility, please!

If you are an artist, make sure to put a signature/watermark on your art that includes your username! It won't stop edited theft or AI generation, but it will at least stop blatant copy theft.
I often wonder how people fall for these, but then remind myself, NO ONE is 100% immune to scams or propaganda, there is something out there that will fool any one of us.
And a thorough guide can be helpful for people who are new to Internet etiquette, less familiar with English or even some ND people. Better be safe than sorry💖
Thank you so much for making it for folks.
I have it in text form on tumblr, although I did not do alt text for the screenshots themselves
But yeah, they're evolving, I mentioned it in one of the other slides
It’s not perfect and they seem damn near endless. But it should help: https://pastebin.com/eXUVX0uk
thank youuuuuu~
I do have a written text version on tumblr, there's just no alt text in the images but the rest should be readable~
That's why I like putting the speedpaint too(Even if sometimes I forget the watermark)
But thanks for the warning:D
If you accept payment for a service, you need to do your homework if you want a positive reputation. There are free resources everywhere, use them! Ty for thread :)
1) Most discord scammers are using bots to mass drop "their" "art" into as many discords as possible.
I actually have a written version on tumblr! I don't have the alt text for the screenshots though D:
