I'd have to watch it again, but did Edwards really play a "great" half of footy?
Sure he kicked 4, but how did he go about it, what else did he do? Is it sustainable?
As for Baldwin, has he really delivered more than being serviceable?
I'll leave it to the Club to decide what they're looking for.
That’s the exact point I’m trying to make. Edwards is going at 2 goals a game in the WAFL. Which is a far lower standard than VFL. Sure he kicked 4 in a half, of a scratch match against opposition that was probably 30% of an AFL side. I’m just trying to remain objective.
In that time he’s played 8 AFL games and 23 games of VFL footy.
31 games in 4 seasons. I admire Kaine, huge heart and I hope he lives out his dream. But he hasn’t played years of great football. And what he has played has mostly been state league.
Tom Edwards has played 66 games of WAFL Senior footy.
And kicked 109 goals.
8 AFL games aside, 2 of which he struggled to get near it and 1 of which he sadly got knocked out without getting a disposal, Tom Edwards has played more seasons of good footy than Kaine Baldwin.
