I have one of the next generation of scientists right here, just spent about $160k on education. Just waiting to be fired from their first job on an NIH funded study so they can try to get a job at Publix if they’re hiring

This is part of the larger plan to make all profitable aspects of government unworkable, and then swoop in and privatize them, thus making a profit for a "business" crony of the prez. But privatizing a thing means they get to decide who is excluded from it. It will no longer be a common good.

True. They probably don't care as long as they can make a profit *today*. Ugh. But I was also talking about all the other areas of government that are being gutted. I thought that's what they were going to do with US Post Office but am puzzled why it hasn't happened there yet.
