It's important to understand that this is not a bottom-up phenomenon, but a carefully constructed top-down programme for habituating a population to authoritarianism. I have seen the state-sponsored abandonment of Stonewall Diversity Champions being sold as a natural phenomenon. It came from Truss.

This is partly why I think it's better to be receptive to centrists who now are turning on Starmer as we can also show them how transphobia works with the far right. They can finally understand why it's all linked together and you cannot be GC without praising Trump.

I agree. There's a lot of liberals that are outright fascists out there. We just watched them justifying or ignoring Palestinians being exterminated for over a year. They won't blink an eye to do the same to us.
