Nearly every medicine we benefit from started with NIH-funded research. Early discovery work starts in academia.
Immunotherapies?
Gene therapy for rare diseases?
Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s medicines?
Vaccines?
Novel cancer treatments?
Psychiatric medicines?
You betcha.

Only in some cases. Nobody's pretending it's all sunshine and rainbows, that's a straw man.
It's almost like government spending is good!
The pyramid is starting to collapse.
* Dr Fauci didn't create any government health agencies
Thank you, for pointing that out. 🙂
Psychopaths don't learn from their mistakes or feel empathy.
Reds under the bed, the yellow peril, blacks, trans, gays, immigrants, the Chinese, Muslims, feminists, democrats…
It is their fault, not yours. Vote for me and you can have your land of milk and honey again.
...They serve as an unofficial intelligence arm of the Russian federation.
Plus, Trump just likes to inflict suffering. He gets off on hurting people.
... It's a pattern, and I think it's a deliberate act, that he enjoys making people suffer.
I am a 14 year survivor of two different, deadly types of cancer.
Apparently they do!! They are dangerously stupid
"Tweetle" 🤣
Conservatives think sick people deserve to die as punishment from gods. Reagan said so much point blank during the AIDS epidemic.
Everyone, remember to simply block these cuntservatives, they got lonely on Twitter so they came here looking for arguments and attention.
I'm muting them so I don't have to see their responses, but you can still see this polite reminder to block and move.
It's atypical of low IQ voters.
He's not a moonbat, he's a liar.

So no one can compete.
We pay taxes, taxes pay health insurance companies- they charge us more and deny care. They get rich, we die and/or go bankrupt.
The key would be Dems to use this to expose the behavior.
I am opposed to most of what is going on, I am not R in any sense. But 15% kinda makes sense to me.
Not an R. But maybe there is reform to be had in endowment vs government funded OH.
Not sure we want to invite taxes on endowments
Because no one else is going to save the valuable work that NIH funds.

1) Why haven't the American people seen the benefit of that investment in low drug prices? Socialism (yes!) to find research but capitalism to profit from it? Nah.
2) NIH does have some baggage that needs trimming.
Banting & Best GAVE insulin to the world, and now in america is costs, what? Too much.
Why haven't the American people seen the benefit of that investment in low drug prices?

Because your government and your politicians are well paid by the insurance industry and Big Pharma to act against your interests. In the rest of the West, our governments and politicians work for us.
Troubling and sadly ironic considering the doubt and cynicism they used to paint socialized medicine as this broken and corrupted thing, only to end up manifesting the very thing they use as a boogeyman
"I will... cut the cost of a typical family's premium by up to $2,500 a year."
"We... will help reduce those premiums... by an average of about $2,500 per year.”
“I want to lower premiums by about an average of $2,500 per family, per year...”
JoeBama (D)

So, there's that.
But, yeah, you NAILED me with the “I know you are, but what am I” zinger!
I don’t know if you’re a bot and, if so, I guess the joke’s on me. But if you are a real person, my goodness.
#idiocracy
It can't be worse than the "Where's my cut?" system that we are forced to live with now.
"Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. And basically, call it the STUPIDITY of the American voter (D) or whatever, but basically that was really, really critical to get the thing (Obamacare) to pass."
Jonathan Gruber (D) (Obamacare architect) - October 17, 2013 🙄
But, one thing is for sure... He'll be transparent about his solution. Not like Obama was. (see continued)
And it will be better than JoeBama's "solutions."
Provided, the (D)s let him solve it. 🙄
Continued...
We'll have to wait and see.

Seriously? It's been 8 years since Trump originally promised to solve the healthcare cost problem, and all you've got after all that time is 'We'll have to see'? I can tell you right now, he has no plan, just empty promises.
