I feel like they could make a go of The Elder Scrolls. There's plenty of stuff to work with: gods, demons, heroes, dragons, and world-shattering artifacts. I'd like to see how they'd template the weird shit like the Dreamsleeve, the Hist, the Heart of Lorkhan, or Dragon Breaks.

Elden Ring would ironically feel like the most grounded UB. I would like Scarlet Rot or Madness somehow be a mechanic (not like the current Madness but like a separate counter).

But there must be a Moonlight Great Sword, a poison swamp(or rot forest) and scary lady who is also pretty.

Elden Ring/Soulsborne would be incredible. I like your point about there being a good mix of non-legendary. creatures. I never thought about The Witcher but there’s a ton of material there too! It doesn’t piggyback off of FF but A Song of Ice and Fire would be amazing. Way too many legends there tho

I can't find the source now, but I remember reading that Miyazaki takes a lot of inspiration from western fantasy, and sometimes Magic explicitly.
