I'm almost done with the first draft of this final chapter. It's the ROUGHEST of rough drafts. Currently my biggest battles are 1) how long is TOO long? and 2) why can't my brain think of any more creative descriptions? Too long> personally if possible if a chapter gets to be above 10/11k, I’d rather the author split it up due to accessibility reasons. NGL when I see a chapter is 30k my heart sinks a little as I know it is going to be a nightmare to keep track of as I will have to read it over several sittings.

I hear you. This chapter is nearly 10k & I'm debating the merits of cutting it into 2 chapters versus trimming 2k. But I'm going back and forth on which will be a better solution for the story. There's not a balanced placed to cut but I also feel like cutting 2k will be tough. I hate all options 😫

As a reader I would prefer a cut in an awkward place (even if it makes one chapter much shorter) than an edit.

Suggestion (please feel free to ignore): could you split it, but post both chapters at the same time?

That’s what I’m debating doing. Splitting it but posting either both at the same time or pretty close together.
