Yup, I knew the price is/was rising, but not that it is that bad. Thought it was partly a joke.
I think it has sth to do with the bird flu.

The bird flu is the largest contribution.
Packaging/factory material, fuel, and greed are secondary issues.
Important also to remember the size of the US; each state has its own economy. The poster of the image lives in an expensive area to begin with.
But, that is a 3x increase over last month's
