It may come from the myth that when you split one it becomes 2 living worms. But well... they don't smile either or have 2 eyes ;b

You’re wrong, they do smile and they have a smiling little face at both sides

Just kidding! It's a known fact they can regenerate their smile when cut. Only on one side though, the other goes sad.
