it appears in a cool way in a Web of Shadows cutscene, but I think logistically with how wide the Venom head can open & other factors it wouldn’t make sense all the time lol
Love this. In these cases I always figured the suit was more of a transformation, the longer you’re in it the more alien it becomes. That also justifies why they all have Spider-Man eyes even if that symbiote never met him. Their kind must just have eyes like that
I have a ”love-hate” relationship with the bulkier Venoms due this since extra mass and host displacement makes it make more sense, since they’re not going to explore it anyway
Dude, ribs as a design element is SO underrated. Something I've rarely seen, with the only examples that come to mind being Nightmarionne from FNAF and Lewis from the mystery skulls animations.
Don't sleep on Tommy Arnold's incredible cover art for Tamsyn Muir's Harrow the Ninth (seriously, get into those books pronto if you haven't already!).
It got even worse in that Spider-Man Unlimited cartoon, they show Venom and Carnage completely turn into goo and reform themselves later. Like wtf happened to the humans in that case
I always had the theory that the Hosts were more placed in the center like Fred in Big Hero Six. Like for example, the face would be more in the esophagus of the symbiote.
My theory was that the symbiotes were able to deconstruct and reconstruct the host’s body. So rather than Eddie’s skull being a small head with Venom’s large head layered over it, or with your example, Venom just enlarges Eddie’s head/body and adjusts the features to be more monstrous.
Considering that the symbiotes give the host a very powerful healing factor, it makes sense they would be bonded in a molecular level like this. Any damage the host takes, they would just be able to patch it up. Although I think it would be cool if it depended on how in-tune the host/symbiote are.
