The Wii U era was (specifically 2015) when I was thrown out of a Swedish Nintendo group on FB, run by people I knew irl, for the crime of criticizing E3 2015. Not even harsh, mostly just saying it made the future of Wii U seem dire.
i feel like everyone forgot that nintendo blew smoke about recapturing "core gamers" before the launch of console only to sideline like half their franchises
At least Smash, Mario Maker, Bayo 2, Hyrule Warriors, Yoshi’s Woolly World, Captain Toad, Xenoblade X, Splatoon & BOTW were decent games, not to say the rest were awful except for Sonic Boom & Star Fox Zero/Guard
I couldn't imagine, I was in dire straits in the real world so I couldn't afford consoles until 2018.
So with hindsight the Wii U is better than the Switch, Xbone and PS4 mainly cuz dual screens is more annoying to emulate and not-nintendo is eventually on PC.
genuinely don't know where to start with what they chose to gas up with this
literally nothing games like lego batman and just dance, games that already had everything stacked against them like sonic boom, the toys to life games, the shitty tech demos
the copium in this image is truly fascinating
I was manager of a video game department when Skylanders launched. I thought it looked like an interesting concept but didn't think it would fly in the economy of the time. Shows what I know.

Also holy shit the Wii U was 2012....
Nintendo fans were on omega copium back then
Giant robot meanwhile, afaik it either didn't make the light of day or became part of LABO.
