I’ll have to pick it up….just had a look at the track listing….fair bit of stuff I know like Faust, Amon Duul,Rother, Eno etc but looks pretty essential….👍👍

For me it is the mix of familiar and unknown, if the compilers choose this and that, I trust their judgement. On Cafe Exil the joy was discovering early Jan Hammer, I had ignored him because of the later soundtrack cheese.

Agreed, a mix of both works well….I know JH played with John McLaughlan in the early seventies, but like you I associate him with Miami Vice….don’t suppose he minds though, he must have made a fortune off the back of it!!
