I know the UI is awful for it but adding NSFW labels (NOT hashtags, use the built-in label functionality) helps keep this site safe for everyone and gets your porn put in front of the people who actually want to see it!

I’m soooo bad at remembering this, especially from all the years on the other site. I noticed that my posts seem to get auto-tagged whenever I forget. Is that doing the same thing?

It's effectively doing the same thing but it's not always accurate at catching stuff. Also it only checks your posts after they've been made so sometimes the NSFW feeds might miss it.

I almost always forget but it seems to never miss (and often label anything that's bare chested men as graphic adult material).

Wouldn't the auto labels fix the problem? Or do my posts get penalized when the system adds these tags that I forgot?

From what I understand the auto-labeler catches most but not all slip ups. Also, since the auto-labeler only works AFTER a post has been made not all NSFW feeds will catch that update and put the post in the feed.

I really wish they’d add a toggle setting to require labeling before posting. I label everything by default and rarely miss my own, but that’s because I’m an anxious bitch more than anything else. Would be handy to have the option to require labeling, and to choose sfw in that case

Also do NOT label adult content as Graphic Media! I've seen that cropping up here and there and it's the wrong label!
