Wonderful track! You are one of my favorite artists and I'm so happy that you still make new music, despite the current state of the world and the music industry. Thank you!
By the way, Is it true that "Pictures of Anna" was originally intended as part of "The Wonder of it All"?
I don’t think so! Also the vocal arrangement feels different, perhaps particularly the chorus. It makes it a nice blend of legendary influence mixed with unique hallmarks :)
I am just thrilled about this new album, M. Auclair! Thunderclouds has been one of my most listened to albums of the past few years, and my kids would specifically request "Rio Grande" when we would get in the car for a drive. All the best, and thanks for continuing to create such wonderful music!
Feels a bit tacky to plug this to you, but honestly, your work has been a huge influence on me and I can hear it in this tune- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mabCIja_UM I'm going to spin Thunderclouds again today as I work and enjoy every minute of it. 🤙
Love "Pictures of Anna," the only problem is I can't stop myself from replaying it... not an uncommon problem with your music. The ending flourish reminds me so much of the beginning of your version of "I Can't Own Her." All smiles and goosebumps this morning, from a big fan.

Though Paul wouldn't have gone for the Stravinskian basson/cello motif...or would he?
