Their definitions of sex/gender are quite literally just their religious belief. The constitution, in the very first amendment, states the government cannot dictate an individuals religious belief as law. They know this, but they do it anyway.

My birth certificate reads my first name I’ve been an issue I never ever used, and my last name which was maiden name. Now I’m being known as my first name with an initial that I never use in my life and my married name.

My passport renewal status was changed to "Additional information needed" yesterday. Idk what info they would otherwise need (other than some proof of gender) since I made sure everything was in order. Frankly I'm beyond pissed about this.

My adult child is just about to get their legal name change and gender marker done but now is too afraid to lose the passport so isn't updating it. It's outrageous.

The fed travel website also has been updated to "LGB" instead of "LGBTQ"

Update: I got my passport back (had expedited services). It shows F as on my birth certificate. There was no significant hold up over it. Thank goodness.

It was a renewal since I misplaced my previous passport.

I went to a USPS office to apply. Didn't get any pushback there, and they sent off my documents and application. There is no update on the online tracker so far, though. But it's only been a few days.
