In its own way a beautiful, tragical and fascinating story. Having said that, it has been misused for centuries to put women, snakes, and men (in that order) in their place by an institution called "Church".
I think it's a story made up by a man, shared by men, printed by men. It's just like all the others. Patriarchal nonsense that vill9fies women and our bodies.
Like all bible stories they are fairy tales, and cannot be considered anything more than a metaphoric tale. Anyone who believes literally in any of them is a fool.
Never happened. Great fairytale though. Like woman being created from a man's rib and a virgin girl gave birth and God sent a human blood sacrifice so you won't be held accountable for the evil you commit on earth.
I went to Catholic school for 16 years. Was actually taught by a priest that the creation story was a parable made up by Moses. So even according to the church's teachings, it didn't happen.
A vilified, defied version of a book whose title accurately describes what happened:
The Origin of Consciousness and the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind.
I think it was an understanding of creation by people who don't know where the sun goes at night.
An attempt at understanding to quell fear at a time the written word was new.
What will people say about our ignorance 4,000 years hence?

In my theatrical career, I played A & E’s son Abel in a production of a brilliant musical called “Children Of Eden” by Stephen Schwartz. It gives “new” heartfelt POV’s of this “First Family”. I got more emotionally from performing the show as young adult than reading the Bible that’s for certain.
