Sales from this bundle outperformed my individual comics sales by a country mile and even boosted my other titles' numbers from new readers converting over. Like you say in the thread, I think a lot of that success comes from proper curation. Good work!

Many of the bundles I've been in make most of their money when they're featured on the front page of itch io.

For obvious reasons, the Queerotica Bundle did not get to have a moment on the front page.

The fact it surpassed $10,000 in spite of that is . . . incredible.

Bundles have been making a lot less money recently, because of the cost of living crisis.

I didn't know if this bundle was going to succeed, but I asked a lot of big names to contribute, and almost all of them said yes.

Some people even went through the trouble of putting their stuff onto itch io for the first time so they could be a part of it.

I took the initiative to reach out to people and organize the bundle. But the reason it succeeded was because of the talented people who contributed their work.

Everyone did a great job advertising the bundle and keeping it visible. I facilitated things, but it was everyone else who pushed it over the $10,000 line.

I think bundles are a good way to put money into the hands of marginalized creatives.

Many, if not most, of the people in bundles I've organized are incredibly overqualified / unemployed queer people who are struggling to make ends meet. Contributors have told me many times about the important things they were able to put money towards with their bundle earnings.

I think, moving forwards, bundle organizers need to be smarter about how they approach things. People who receive a lot of engagement from their work usually don't pay attention to stuff like open-invites. They don't need itch to promote their work.
