I love and respect Jackie but I think she was wrong here. I honestly think it was a miscommunication that should be resolved behind closed doors and then everyone can move in.
So, the last thing I seen was she got married and changed her last name on social media and a select group of ppl are in shambles about that.
Prior to this, she asked ppl to stop calling her Auntie Jackie, and again... A select group of ppl dragged her for SETTING BOUNDARIES and she blocked them.
Apparently, something else has happened recently that I haven't quite wrapped my mind around just yet but it seems to be TikTok beef. I now have to mute Jackie Aina due to whatever current discourse that pissed off the girlies. I'm certain it was some trivial ass shit.
Sometimes my brain wants to default to the rationale that people are projecting their insecurities on that woman because she lives a luxury lifestyle. I wonder if her content looked different (re: regular, average, or more relatable) if she’d receive the same amount of hate.
I love Jackie. I don't engage in her content as much because it's just not a lifestyle I relate to or aspire to, BUT I think she's wonderful and gorgeous and That Girl. People are sooooo
Exactly! I think it’s reasonable to say that some people engage with her content JUST to hate. Her content makes her life appear perfect and some people hate that. They’d rather dog pile her and humble her than just…disengage with her content because it doesn’t relate to them.
I really don’t like this narrative... If your main audience (BW) doesn’t like something you did, it’s normal for them to hold you accountable when you’re wrong. Everyone messes up & nobody is exempt from criticism. Calling it hate is minimizing the issue that people may have with the situation
I kinda referred to the accountability in another post in this thread. Her personal experience is valid, but she shouldn’t have tried to warp it into something it isn’t, it’s reckless. And now with more context from the other side (their response), the backlash from the audience is understandable
She has a right to block people, we should all protect our peace, but then basically lying about why she did it and trying to make it a colourism issue leaves a bad taste in people’s mouth. She should’ve went about it differently or just not added onto the “dogpile” she accused them of doing to her

Like….why does it matter who she blocked? If she doesn’t like someone’s content isn’t she allowed to ensure she doesn’t see it? I’m confused
