I flattened the battery on my dad’s Sierra listening to tapes on a campsite in the south of France once. He wasn’t best pleased.

I have one car that does that too - most annoying. Surely modern batteries can withstand my listening to Radio 2 for half an hour whilst Mrs P gets her hair done.

I had a Corsa EV that did that. If you didn't put it into Drive within a few minutes it'd silently switch back to running the 12v flat then moan about it 🙄

Yeah my BM moans about battery conservation within about 3 minutes of leaving the radio on. Years ago I'd sit in the Golf for hours with the radio on...

I have a personal playlist of over 1,700 songs downloaded on my phone along with a personal playlist thru youtube that I made. I can skip if I don't want to hear it, shuffle, etc

The trouble is modern cars insist on running so much than you're actually asking for whilst trying to do that. The XC60 quickly grumbles after a while doing the same thing.
