I heard on CNN this morning that Google maps is renaming The Gulf of Mexico in their software. I'm feeling really sick. How ignorant.

They aren’t acting in resistance, which multinationals rarely do. But to be fair, 47 is changing the official list of US place names, and Google needs to be consistent with that. At least they’re only changing if for US users, not the rest of the world.
