At the end of my time with the circus I had nowhere else to go and no money, so I kept travelling. I hitchhiked across the US for a few years. During this time I had so much free time and naught to do with it. I didn't think it would be hard to replicate what they did....

I never thought that I was a creative person. That was until I dropped out of university to run away with the circus. It was a travelling circus that stopped in town for the day. I was at my favorite coffee shop, at the time, and this wity man a few years older than me came in...

We hit it off immediately and he invited me to come along as he was the Ringmaster of this circus. Long story short, I travelled with them for a year and the Ringmaster, Xander, taught me how to express myself through clowning and dancing....

So, in my wandering I dove dumpsters and kept a keen eye in nature for things that I could us to make wire wraps. Wire wrapping never really clicked for me but I found that whenever I found something that other may consider junk I saw only what it may be if it found its place in my art....

I never had any kind of formal education in art but in that time I learned that art (for me) is beyond education and part of bringing my artistic vision to life is wandering and finding trash or natural debris that speak to me in some way...

Tha k you for reading, this was a big leap for me. I have never really written about how I started making art or myself. I hope this reads well.
One of the biggest take aways in this period of my life is that creativity is a skill that you can practice like any other regardless of where you start.
