One of the tombs I excavated in Egypt- a General+head of the Treasury in the Middle Kingdom (1900 BC), was smashed up badly in antiquity, not long after the individual (Intef) was interred. Worse than death... no place for his soul to return from the afterlife. Folks have hated elites forever.
