Yes he was! Our drop zones used for training are named after WW2 battles, Normandy,Sicily, Salerno. I helped recreate the storming of Normandy on the anniversary. There were a bunch of older Veterans there. When they seen me walking off the drop zone, they wanted a picture with me!
