When WWX first started out as a video game streamer, he never expected to make a long-term career out of it. But here he is a decade later, still going strong as popular streamer and esports commentator YLLZ.

He gets some judgment about it from is family, who are all fond of pointing out that he’s in his mid-thirties, when is he going to get his shit together and get a real job already.
(Well, Jiejie at least never jumps on the get a real job train. She just keeps buying him groceries like she thinks he’s too irresponsible and/or broke to manage it himself.)
Given his family’s general reaction to his career choice, he decided a long time ago not to lead with that information in his dating life. He tells people he works in the video game industry, but doesn’t get more specific than that.
It’s not like he’s lying about his job, so it won’t be weird when he eventually fills in the details. He thinks. He’s never actually made it that far, most of his relationships fizzling pretty quickly.
He’s been seeing LWJ for a few months, and he really likes him. And he’s feeling increasingly weird about not being up-front about his work. He keeps telling himself he never lied, but it’s starting to feel maybe like he kind of lied?
And LWJ is so put together and adult and responsible. He’s the director of a nonprofit that works with queer youth. He’s single-handedly raising a son he adores, and who from all his stories sounds like the world’s sweetest, most respectful teenager.
