That is a shame, then. I was gutted when my favourite Mexican restaurant closed. Also like three minutes away, and they had the best of almost every dish I've ever had, including the biggest, baddest margaritas you ever saw.

I tried a few Mexican restaurants afterward, but all were disappointments, so I just kinda gave up on Mexican food. 🤷

What do you miss most? Are you able to replicate at home?

My favourite Chinese food restaurant closed a few months ago as well. Weirdly enough, best chicken wings ever.

I can make good nachos, but my store-bought chips lack character and rigidity, and my guacamole varies between 'ok' and 'hmm pretty good.'

Their nachos, by far. Though technically an appetizer, two people could share an order and barely finish it. Golden tortilla chips hand cut each morning, perfect layering of ingredients (no chip unadorned), guacamole and salsa made fresh to order, chunky and zesty with heaps of cilantro. A++. 🤤
